Read Suede of thick and actually two sides, with darker (not quite dark blue) blue and lighter blue on the pastel side than medium blue. They look like they will be worn for a long time, longer than the jacket they are sewn onto. (Patches cost less than a seamstress to sew in place, a good price for extending the life of your favorite jacket or sweater.)
