I bought two reasonably priced JBL Flip 5s last week. The intention was to use them as a stereo pair. I have a pair of similarly sized and similarly priced Remax Bluetooth speakers that I've had for about a year and I was expecting the JBL to be an upgrade. When I bought the Remax speakers I set them to stereo once. And when I turn them on, they automatically pair and are ready to go in stereo, which is really handy. I expected JBL to behave the same way. To my dismay, I found that the JBLs had to be connected to each other via Partyboost every time they were powered up. Although it's pretty simple, it's pretty impractical. I also found the battery life to be shorter than expected. Sound quality on par with Remax speakers.
