I was in a dilemma after air got into the hydraulic control unit (HCU) on a 2006 E-450. This resulted in a soft pedal and after much research it was concluded that the only way to get rid of it was to run it through the automatic ABS bleed service feature. Some say you can also lock the wheels on loose ground to activate the deflation solenoids, but considering this was on a Class C camper parked up the hill, that's really not an option . Autel is a household name in scanners, so I sent them the car's VIN number. They recommended MK808BT which was not in my budget. Alternatively, they said the AP200C would be released soon and that it would work on that vehicle. This subscription-based device with a relatively low purchase price was ideal for my situation. Within 30 minutes of unboxing the unit, I had the apps installed and ran the auto ABS bleed routine a few times to be sure. The process that the HCU goes through is more extensive than I thought as the pump is running and the solenoids are firing multiple times. I found the apps could be improved, but given the price and the release of a new product, there really isn't anything to complain about. Over time, I wouldn't be surprised if they become more user-friendly. An iPhone was used to connect to the device, so I cannot speak about compatibility with Android devices. This device, like its service features, has scanner features that do not expire. Nowadays it is almost a must for any diagnosis to have some kind of scanner/reader on hand. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I think I hit right in the middle of their target market. I am happy that the car is ready to go again at a very reasonable price. I received this product at a reduced price in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
