Slightly cropped at the factory. So I had to bypass that, but other than that it was easy to install. TIPS: 1. The sticker is large (fits any laptop) so just place it on top of the laptop and press on the sides to mark where the edges of the laptop are. Then turn the sticker over and cut along that crease. There are grid marks on the back to help you cut a straight line. If you have a paper or fabric cutter, this will give a straighter line. I just used sharp scissors and took my time. Go slow, wrong cut will ruin your decal.2. Slide the sticker so it is slightly smaller (1/16 inch) than the laptop - you don't need tabs as they will wear out over time and/or cause the sticker to separate from the laptop. They should have a very thin gray border around the perimeter. Check the decal a few times and trim off any excess areas. 3. When sticking the sticker, remove the corner a little and bend it so that you have a handle to easily remove the backing from the sticker. THEN align the sticker on your laptop the way you want it. Stick the left side (top, bottom and sides) with masking tape. I used the leftover sticker to stick it on. You just want it to stay in place and not move further from the left side while you stick the right side (otherwise the sticker will be easily warped because it's almost impossible to align it perfectly by hand). Now remove the backing from the right side to about the middle 3/4 of the length. Incidentally, cut off the backing with scissors (to get it out of the way) and place the sticky side of the sticker on the laptop. p from left to right. Press it down and smooth out the edges. Push from left to right (you've already secured the left side so it doesn't move). Move slowly, making sure to press the adhesive evenly (if you have bubbles, pull the sticker to remove the air pocket, otherwise the sticker won't reach the right side properly. You will have some air bubbles, you know you can smooth them out later, it's easier than putting on a protective film). Now peel off the left side (be careful not to cut the sticker with your nails when you pull on the tape). Now peel off the left side, remove the remaining backing and place the sticky side from right to left. Flatten it and you're done. It's a big sticker, so it's not so easy to put a screen protector on it. but the above steps will make things easier. The decal looks really great on my laptop - WAY BETTER than the ugly/boring factory grey. I really like this sticker - it feels good and sticks well. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone with a boring laptop lid.
