The unit is well built and relatively easy to install, especially since the instructions are lame! But when you put your spices on the shelf, they're so close together that you can't read the labels when they're on the sides of the bottles. When you place the labels on the bottles, you should have enough space above to see the labels, which means you should use the lowest tier on the tall cabinets. The shelf allows you to slide it forward to remove the spices, but it doesn't move forward far enough to reach the spices from the back, so you'll have to remove the spices from the front to get to them . This makes it compact but not very convenient to use.
