I use a telescope rig with it. I put together a little box with a bunch of connectors to connect everything and this power supply runs it all. You can set it to latch, which will automatically set the output voltage to around 13.5V, which is ideal. My digital voltmeter says it's accurate. The fan runs as fast as it needs to, so I think it's pretty quiet for the loads I put on it, which only draw about 5 amps max. I'm very happy with what I'm doing with it.
