Review on 🌀 Fanimation Stafford 52-Inch Indoor Ceiling Fan with Bowl Light Kit and Remote - Matte Greige by Diane Willis

Cute Fan. However, for the price of this fan I expected something more expensive. But it doesn't really feel any better or higher quality than the Hunter fan I could buy at Costco or Home Depot for $100. As already mentioned, the light output is too low. With a total output of 1152 lumens, this should match the 75 watt light it will replace in my room. But the light output seems to be much lower. We need to replace the light bulbs with more powerful LEDs. As for volume, it could be quieter. It's definitely a lot quieter than the other fan I have at home, which sounds like an airplane spinning up for takeoff. The engine hum of the Stafford fan is hardly muffled by the television, so that the sound does not interfere with television. But when the TV is off, the fan noise is loud enough to be distracting. Interestingly, the sound is quieter at high speed than at low speed. I also had an issue with mounting with the bracket. The slots in the bracket weren't big enough for my Allen screws. My outlet uses #12 screws (0.21" diameter), but the slots in the mounting bracket are only 0.188" wide. I called tech support to see if my mount is defective or if they have a mount with a larger slot size. I was told that all of their mounts have the same slot size and that my socket needs to be custom. Well my house is 5 years old and the builder installed the outlet. I'm pretty sure it's the regular size. And my other ceiling fans installed on these outlets with no problem. He suggested that I drill a hole to fit my screw. Of course, except I'm pretty sure they won't accept a return if I later discover a problem with the fan because I modified the fan. Not very satisfactory customer support. In general, I consider this fan a mediocre purchase. Pros: Nice design. Cons: Could be quieter. The luminous flux is too low. The quality doesn't quite match the price - twice the price of the Hunter but doesn't look twice the price or better. Will not fit the standard outlet without fan modification. Helpless customer support.
