Review on Israeli Personna Stainless Double Blades by Crystal Spicer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best, very best double-edged blades at an unbelievable price.

Like many other men, I've gone back to wet shaving with a safety razor and double-edged blades. It just didn't make sense to pay $1-2+ for a shave on disposable razors and I disagree that 3-5 blades is good for your skin and not good for a closer shave. They only cause burns and bumps. Canned shaving cream definitely doesn't help. The problems have gone away since I switched back and the cost has gone down. These blades are the biggest change for me. Double-edged blades are very, very expensive at the drug store or even at Wal-Mart. A dollar a blade or more for brands that aren't really that good. The Personna Platinum are very good and the "Israeli" woods are the best I've seen. Some Personna Platinum are made in other countries, but they are made in Israel and have earned a reputation for being the best. They stay sharp for a week which means they only cost 4 cents a shave for the blades. These blades from Revain or other online sources for wet shaving accessories are only around $20 for a hundred blades. It's incredible for something so well made and reliable. You just can't be beat. I have tried Feather, Wilkinson, Shark and many other brands and they excel in shaving quality, no shaving irritation, avoidance of warts and ingrown hairs etc. I use a good shaving soap like Taylor. Old Bond Street and a decent brush, then apply Thayer's witch hazel with aloe and Burt's Bees aftershave. I don't have any of those problems, nothing more.
