Our 2008 Ford Edge was overheating and spewing coolant out of the expansion tank. No broken hoses, no leaking water pump, no stuck thermostat. I noticed that the main fan was not spinning, only the A/C fan was spinning. After placing a jumper directly from the fan to the battery, I found that the fan was defective. Fan replaced with OEM Motorcraft RF295. The fan came with a broken plastic bracket, had to be sent in for replacement. The exchange took more than a week and I needed to get the car running as soon as possible. Had to purchase an item from another online retailer which was delivered promptly. Motorcraft RF 295 solved my overheating problem and is easy to install.
