After my fiancé dropped our remote in the water course (I don't know how). I chose to do this as the remote app just wasn't working the way we wanted it to on our phones. This remote control is exactly the same as the one that came with the TV and works almost as well. I feel like with this new remote you need to make sure you're pointing it directly at the sensor on the TV when you use it, and not just at them, for it to work. This annoys my fiancé, but it doesn't change anything for me. I would buy another if this one broke but let's hope it doesn't otherwise this review wouldn't make sense.
