Review on 🔗 Motion Pro 08-0058 Chain Breaker and Riveting Tool: Ultimate Solution for Chain Maintenance by Louis Turley

I purchased the MotionPro chain breaking/rivet tool set after reading online reviews. The kit comes with everything you need to get the job done, but I wasn't impressed with the kit's functionality. First I had to break my 520 o-ring free chain on my bike. Everything went well and after 15 minutes I removed the chain from the bike according to the instructions. I then had to remove two more links from the chain for the new smaller sprocket I was installing when the breaker pin actually broke! I followed the same procedure and even stepped back and reapplied pressure as recommended when the breaker pin broke in the limb. I was charged $15 for a replacement pen from MotionPro! The riveting tool was not convincing either. The pop rivet expanding tool doesn't widen them very much and now I'm worried they won't hold. To be sure, you'll need to press them down with a flat, hard surface. This is not a product that a beginner will be comfortable with and its durability is now in question.
