This might be my fourth professional port and the 25th anniversary version. For the purpose of a gygy medal, I purchased it. Just kidding, I grew weary of fixing the old ones, and when I couldn't get to the ear pads, I sewed them together with thread. Still, I adore them! They sound great! I once had several ears, including re-enforcing Shure SE530 PTH, but now I only have Shure SRH940 monitors, and I always carry pigtails with me, whether it's winter or summer. Nobody else will have this kind of bass and highs. The wires are fragile, of course, but learn how to solder:)) The anniversary speaker holders' brackets broke, so I replaced them with some plain, old braids, and everything is working again. I use it with a FiiO E6 amplifier and a SanDisk Sansa clip+.
