I bought these for work because I needed solid white shoes and I remember how comfortable my Asics were at the time. Okay. it's not them. I wore them right out of the box for a 12 hour work day and by the end of the day my legs and back were sore. I don't usually have back pain (although my legs hurt after standing for a long time). But most importantly, I can't imagine wearing them for a cheerleading gig. You have no spring, no return. They're also a little narrow, but that may just be an Asics trait. I still have a pair of Asics that I run in; They fit the same, but are much more comfortable and toe-friendly because the upper is made of a softer material. I wear a 9 in street shoes but almost always buy a 10 in sneakers. 10 in them gives me about a thumb's width from the end of the toe. I will keep them because the price makes them not worth returning and I didn't sell a pair of white sneakers. They are kept for short-term use only.
