Short head means difficult to make a good seal, positive pressure

With similar hose type angle gauges, the biggest problem with this design is the short head that attaches to the stem. It's shorter than my old gauge, which means the slightest misalignment with the tire bar means air will leak out. It needs to be pretty much level, and it can be hard to tell which direction it needs to go in order for the head to be flat. The gauge also seems to have gauge pressure where my digital gauge reads 42 and an older similar gauge above reads 41. The tool gauge reads 44-45. Overall the biggest issue is the head as it is too short and allows for too much movement which can cause air leaks if not aligned PERFECTLY.
