I have a lot of woolens and blankets, so I always try to keep a packet or two of various sizes of cedar balls or blocks on hand. I add them to dresser drawers in the fall and winter, and I also like to tuck a few balls in jacket pockets when I'm not wearing them. I also fill handfuls of these balls into vacuum bags for stuffing in spring and summer when the weather is cold. This has worked really well for me and I've had no trouble finding moth holes in clothing or blankets for several years (except when I find an item I forgot to pack!) This package contains a large quantity of Cedar Balls, and they are definitely real cedar wood and have a strong, rather sharp taste. Priced at $19.99, these cedar balls are a little more expensive than the brand I usually buy, but they protect a significant investment in wool clothing and blankets, so they're worth it. Once the scent has dissipated, it's quick and easy to sand down the pieces a bit and bring the scent back to life. Sounds like a lot of work, but it really only takes a few seconds for everyone. I usually use cedar chunks for a year or two before I need it.
