I bought 3 of these and they all broke in less than 3 months. Then I realized the MAGIC of this box. I've tried every automatic tablet on the market and this is the best - there's only ONE way to get it to work. What happens is that sometimes a clump of litter (and you MUST use a good quality clumping litter, I recommend the best corn in the world) gets stuck UNDER the rake. This creates a very serious problem as when the rail is lifted the gray edge of the "ring" is pulled up which then tears off the rail. This subsequently breaks/burns the motor. The ONLY way to solve this problem is to LOAD the gray bezel. ANSWER - Buy a DOME HOOD made for this box. The weight of the dome supports the rim, preventing the rake from lifting and burning the engine. When I had the hood I had no problems. Without a hood, this article is useless. With a hood, this is the best electronic box on the market. And do yourself a favor, go to Sally's Beauty and buy some cheap 'shower caps' for your 'garbage bags' - they're practically free compared to the price of branded bags. This is a great product and value for money if you are buying a range hood and I also recommend the ramp that comes with this box. It has a great grille that catches dirt really well and matches the curved front of the box perfectly. So lesson learned: DON'T YELL - buy a HOOD and FRAME and get ready for a big tray!
