Review on Creuset Heritage Stoneware 9 Inch Rectangular by Paul Curington

I've only used this dish a few times when it spontaneously broke in half in the oven. For reference, the oven was set at 450 degrees and the dish was not subjected to extreme temperature changes (never frozen). I contacted the company as these products are said to come with a guarantee but was told I would have to ship this extremely heavy bowl and lid back to the company at my own expense and they would then assess the damage to see if I could entitled to a guarantee. After reading the online reviews it seems like a waste of time and money as many people said they were told they misused the product in some way and are not entitled to the warranty. I asked a company representative if I could bring broken dishes to Le Creuset, but they declined. Nobody at Le Creuset will help you. For now, I'll just throw this monster dish away and never buy Le Creuset again.
