Poor quality - deformed and unsafe

The product delivered was not safe to use, significant deformation of the pot body and defects in workmanship. It seemed a "second" while some change is expected in the fired porcelain stoneware, height discrepancies rendered the product unusable due to an ill-fitting lid. A real disappointment. I hope the replacement is of better quality and reflective of other Le Crueset pieces in my collection.

  • Doping 🔥

Lid cracked after 5 uses

I baked lasagna at 350F, removed the lid from the pan and placed it in the sink to cool. It banged. The lid and possibly the pan (according to other reviewers) are not safe for cooking. Le Creuset is not honoring their warranty because they said I didn't put the lid on one of their approved cooling surfaces and it went into thermal shock. . This brand is a waste of time and energy, I will never buy again.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Crumpled

Great looking, durable and easy to clean

This is another quality product from Le Creuset. The construction is strong enough to withstand the wear and tear of frequent use in the kitchen. The dishes are very easy to clean. Enamel coating without defects (outside and inside). The dish is great if you want to bake and serve in one dish. A few notes: the base is not enameled (use a mat to protect counters and tables from scratches) and a heavy lid may require extra baking time if used. The core temperature of your food rises more slowly…

A feature I never thought of

I've been using my mother's Corningware ovenware for 25 years. Incidentally, the glass lids on large baking tins never sit properly and slip off at the slightest angle. Old Corningware dishes also couldn't be used in the microwave - it got too hot, but the food didn't. Ever since I retired last year, I have been passionate about cooking. Cooking is very nice when you have time to take your time! This Le Creuset ceramic cookware is beautiful to look at and far more functional than my old…

Halved when baking in the oven

I've only used this dish a few times when it spontaneously broke in half in the oven. For reference, the oven was set at 450 degrees and the dish was not subjected to extreme temperature changes (never frozen). I contacted the company as these products are said to come with a guarantee but was told I would have to ship this extremely heavy bowl and lid back to the company at my own expense and they would then assess the damage to see if I could entitled to a guarantee. After reading the online…
