Skip that aux cable charge and use the player
Honestly, this is a Walkman with a USB port. It came with a male/male aux output, but it was so cheap that it never worked in conjunction with a USB extension cable (don't worry about using it). paid for an extra cable, downloaded Audacity for free (the software that this POS comes with) and ended up saving $20 so do yourself a favor by reading and doing this and if you can't find a tape recorder, that's a decent option.
