A 2001 Ford Excursion 4x4 V10I replaced what I would have thought were stock mufflers. I buy them on purpose because I tow a trailer that weighs about 8,000 pounds. The dolphin effect I had before was very noticeable, with this shock this problem disappeared. I think they are great for such a heavy excursion, although they do NOT ride smoothly. They are built for tough use and perfect for my use. If you're towing a heavy vehicle, combine it with a rear anti-roll bar and it will save you most of the Excursion suspension problems.
