I ordered this card to replace a failed serial card in an industrial control PC. At first I couldn't get it to work and was willing to throw it away and order from another manufacturer, but I decided to check the manufacturer's website to see if there was any support that could help. One day I found an updated driver on their website, downloaded and installed it, after that the card worked, so the driver disk that came with it was no good. The only problem I couldn't find a solution that would prevent the card from working in a specific application is that there doesn't seem to be a way to set the port number, IRQ or memory range, apparently the driver just chooses its from custom settings. Luckily I was able to set up the software to match the card. When I first got it to work with the card it showed up as COM4, and the next time I restarted the PC the card showed up as COM5. So far it hasn't changed again, but if it just accidentally changes its settings, that could be a problem.
