Review on πŸ’ͺ Efficient Performance and Flexibility: ASRock Q1900-ITX motherboard review and features by Iyan Iyan ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

Used together with Ubuntu OS versions 14.04/16.04 as a video player (based on Xbmc/Kodi), torrent rocker, virtualization server with low CPU load (LXC/KVM). The system is installed on a usb 3.0 flash drive in UEFI mode, the rest of the data is on a SATA drive. As a desktop system on Windows (or Linux) I practically did not use it, there is a laptop for this. However, for a browser, movies, office applications, a handkerchief is quite suitable. I liked that the board and the processor are cold - under load, the temperature reached only 40-42 degrees Celsius. It hung on the back of the TV, connected to it via HDMI, constantly online. Power consumption when playing movies - up to 20 watts, idle about 14 watts - a bargain. It would be a plus to have a second network port (the only port I had was occupied by a cable from an Internet provider, and the distribution of the Internet to other home devices was done through a WiFi card in the mini-pci slot).

Pros
  • - Characteristics - see the description for the board. - Holds up to 16 GB of RAM (2 x 8 GB DDR3 1333 modules), you can set up a quiet and cold server on Linux with distribution / downloading torrents, vm-kami - Windows 10 also works quite fast (64-bit version), automatically finds drivers for all devices
Cons
  • There are practically no disadvantages. It would be a plus to have a second Gb Ethernet port.
