I am borrowing my mother in law's 2004 Lexus RX 330 and the key fob had a small part broken to the point where the metal part of the key came loose and the battery died! On my first search I found the same item that included an uncut key for about the same price so I'm glad I kept looking and found one that allows you to use your current key. I was a little confused by the instructions on this page because they don't make much sense, but in the test video I watched the man said to carefully insert the metal key into the plastic slot with a pair of pliers. It was the only thing I had a little trouble with trying to insert without pliers. Trying to press with your fingers will only work if you have steel fingers. I was still nervous it wouldn't fit until I got home and grabbed my pliers. The metal part of the key slides tightly into the frame of the smallest part, where there is a slot for the key. Gently slide the key all the way down until the wide end seats in the hole, then use pliers and alternately gently push each side until fully seated and the hole in the metal key lines up with the hole in the plastic part. Then everything is so simple. For example, first place the button piece you just assembled into the bottom of the case, and then insert the keyboard to line up the buttonholes. Put the back cover on, tighten the small screw and voila! There was even a piece of black tape covering the Lexus icon that I wasn't aware of, so that was an unexpected plus! Before assembling it, I opened up the keyboard and replaced the dead battery. So now I have a practically brand new Lexus key fob that works like a charm and is less than $10 including 2 Revain lithium batteries. Also, I received my order in less than 24 hours after placing the order. Thank you!
