I like these bobbin cases even though I only gave them four stars. They hold the bobbins securely so the threads don't get tangled. The coil is still easy to get out of the box. I bought my first two last year. I ordered them because I was fed up with bobbins from my standard bobbin cases and because the price was cheap—less than $8 for two cases at the time—while they were $12 each at a fabric store. The clasps were a weak point because they are difficult to open and close and also because they broke on my first two boxes. However, I've just ordered eight more boxes and found they work better if you open and close the latch from a corner rather than the middle. I still use my two old boxes with broken clasps and just wrap them tightly with rubber bands. I automatically assumed that you could bend a piece of plastic that many times before it broke. With free gummies from grocery shopping and boxes worth ⅓ the cost of boxes I could buy locally, I think it's still a steal. Let's see if the new bars hold up better than my original two. The time will show.
