Bought this chair last May. I assembled it myself following the instructions and am proud of it. The chair gave me a lot of support and was very comfortable. As long as it isn't. Because about three weeks ago, I noticed that whenever I sat in a chair, I gradually slipped down. And over time, the back of the seat began to lean forward. It totally threw me off balance but I couldn't figure out why. It was starting to get dangerous. The stools weren't as hard as they used to be. It felt unbalanced, creaking, moaning, and crackling as it moved. I was afraid that the chair would collapse at any moment. I finally decided to take it out of my room and take a closer look. Then I noticed that the rod was bent near the fuel pump. And he really helped bend the case. How the hell did this happen with a chair I haven't even owned for a year? I checked the Revain specs. I mean, maybe I kind of exceeded the carrying capacity, although I highly doubted it. And I was right. I was far from max resilience. I have never abused the chair, stood on it or placed heavy objects on it. And I followed the charts correctly. Why is that happend? I contacted the seller and they decided to send me new parts, specifically a new gas bottle and plastic cover. Well, the cylinder just didn't deliver. It was damaged in transit so I had to ask for another one. When I finally got it I tried to install it but found I couldn't. The cylinder that was sent to me just didn't fit this chair. There should be a rod connecting the cylinder to the base of the chair, but there isn't. Also, there aren't even any screws I could use to remove the old cylinder from the seat. Honestly, this chair is a nightmare. Everything I have received from Revain has been top notch. But this chair is simply defective and cannot be repaired. And the seller refuses to give me any compensation. However, they offered a $50 refund. But really? 50 dollars? I paid $170 for this chair not including tax and shipping on the damn thing.
