The stubble stays which is nice but the turquoise paint on the handle rubs off so easily! When it first happened I didn't realize it and I got turquoise pain over my fingers. I had to use cotton pads and acetone and wash all the paint off the ones I used to prevent this from happening. I usually just dip my brush in a bottle of acetone and figure they should last since they're made to shimmer. The bristles are fine here too. They worked as intended. Much better than the old makeup brushes I used before. But that's not exactly a high bar. I assume most people without much nail experience like me will make the same mistake I did. Also, after a few uses, the silver body that holds the bristles to the brush came loose from two of my brushes. Which again is probably because I dipped them in acetone too much. But I felt that nail art brushes have to withstand that. Maybe I misunderstood how such products are supposed to work? What is good. I don't mind if I'm wrong. But I have a feeling that many people can easily make this mistake as well. In fact, I would just make sure the listing has clear usage instructions and warnings. I still love this brand and will continue to use my unpainted brushes. It was easy, unexpected.
