Very nice strong thick plastic that snaps securely into place. I have had Wahl clippers for many years and they continue to serve me well. But the comb with the plastic clip that I use the most is completely worn out, bent and broken. I had fun buying a brand new hair clipper to get what I needed. At nearly forty dollars, it wasn't ideal. Then I saw these children. I was afraid they might not fit, but they fit very well, tighter and more secure than the originals. They look professional. My only suggestion for improvement would be to color code them to find the right size faster, but that might drive up the price and they are already perfect.
