Review on πŸ’Ž Diamond XtremeSound PCI 7.1 Channels 16 bit Sound Card - Premium Audio Experience for Your PC by Eric Montgomery

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Attention Windows 7 owners.

Everyone else was talking about what great sound (it really is), terrible Diamond support, etc. Now let's talk about whether it's compatible with Windows 7 can be used. There will be no drivers on the disk in the box. The Diamond site does not have a Windows 7 driver, either 32-bit or 64-bit. However, the chipset on the board is CMEDIA 8768 and drivers can be found at [.] and regular driver websites. They are shown as either RC or Beta, but they work fine here. It's a shame that such a great card forces you to find drivers because the company that sells them doesn't care, but it's worth the effort. EDIT: Awesome! :-( Revain edited the website for drivers. I guess they don't want to sell these cards. Just google CMEDIA.
