Drive not working on my system, Windows 10 reports error, fatal hardware error.

I returned this 1TB SSD because it doesn't work on my computer. I believe this is a design flaw because the plugin didn't work either. The SSD works initially after being fully formatted to NTFS and then encrypted with Bitlocker. CHKDSK says everything is fine with no errors. However, as soon as it is used to move data between two computers (file synchronization), Windows 10 suddenly starts reporting errors that Windows wants to fix. CHKDSK then reports multiple disk errors. The drive is then not recognized along with a fatal hardware error. Several hours, reformatting, etc. later same problem. Both SSDs I had (the first block and the spare block) showed the same issues. There is no decision. I lost at least a day's worth of data. That's a shame because the drive is small, light, and waterproof. If it doesn't work, unfortunately it's useless to me. I'm pretty good with computers (building my own systems) so I'm pretty sure I've done my best to make it work. This drive may work better on other computer systems. Note. For many years I had a 500GB SSD that worked fine on all my systems with Bitlocker encryption enabled. I also bought another 1TB SSD from another reputable SSD manufacturer and it works great with no crashes. Finally, my previous experience with SanDisk has been good. I have had SanDisk micro SD cards for years and they have worked well.
