Review on Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 205/55 R16 91H summer by Stanislaw Biedka ᠌

In general, it's pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

After four years, the ContiSportContact that came stock on my C-Max from the manufacturer was over its expiration date and needed to be replaced. Before making a purchase, I studied a variety of reviews on rubber, including those from other countries. I made the decision to go with this particular type of rubber, which has triumphed in every conceivable competition over the past two years (although the model didn't come out until 2022). Only one complete set was available for purchase throughout the entire city. It found out that the 205/55 R16 91H was manufactured in the Czech Republic, and I was instantly quite startled by the softness of the sidewalls (it feels like the sidewall is pushed under the pressure of a finger like a plastic bag). instantly after discovering this, I was very concerned about the tire's quality. After being fitted on alloy wheels, they were mounted onto the vehicle. In addition, the past two weeks have been filled with joy: pleasant, predictable handling and movement; everything is just as it should be in good rubber (as my runs are comprised of 95% of a very good track, the suppleness of the sidewall did not present a significant cause for concern). During the course of these two weeks, I was able to fully block out the reality that there is a rut. It hasn't even been a month since I hit a pothole while going 80 kilometers per hour on a road I wasn't familiar with at night and received a one-centimeter tear in the sidewall area. I had halted after traveling around 100 meters. The repair kit was the only thing that was in the car when it came out of the factory; there was no spare wheel. It's a tow truck. Tire mounting and balancing. The conclusion is that the keel is excessively large, and the sidewall has been completely eaten away. It is no longer possible to fix the tire. There is not a single scratch anywhere on the surface of the alloy wheel. It appears that such rubber is not yet available in the city because it is at the height of the season and is still too new. We will have to place an order with Hong Kong and then wait a week for delivery. In a nutshell, these are fantastic tires, however they are not appropriate for our roads. The consumption of Nokian Hakka Blue was required, and thankfully, it is readily available. At the start of the second season, I saw that following (maybe not quite the correct) winter storage, one tire had fractured along the tread grooves. This happened after the previous season. My preference was to get a brand new one, which would make it the second one overall. After thirty thousand runs in the third season, the only two tires that were used from the very beginning were almost completely worn down to the marker.

Pros
  • Quiet, gentle. Affordable for most budgets (especially if purchased online).
Cons
  • Too weak sidewall. Availability only in Hong Kong.
