*EDIT* Nowhere in the instructions is the dim setting mentioned. I had to read other reviews to see this. If you press and hold the main switch on the front of the mirror, you can dim it. Now it's the perfect makeup mirror! Previous Review: I love this mirror. This is much better than my previous Conair. I like that it's foldable, it's convenient to travel. However, I will say that the lights are very, very bright. It's hard to turn it on in the morning and try to put on makeup. It leaves spots in my eyes for about 10 minutes. This is NOT a complaint about mine being usually too boring, just something I don't particularly like. It's still a 5 star product for me :).
