We are currently on a 14 hour drive and this iPad holder has been a nuisance from the start of our trip. We use it with an iPad 2 between the headrest mounted seats. Our first problem was the difficulty of installing the iPad in a plastic holder - it's stretched to the limit, even though the iPad 2 is on the list of compatible devices. Second, the iPad feels too heavy for the mount as it keeps tipping down making it hard to see and no tightening solves the problem. These issues may not apply to iPads/smaller tablets, but for the iPad 2 it was a waste of money.
