The remote control for this device is great. It even has a button to turn off the display on the device. This is a great feature for the bedroom if you prefer to sleep in complete darkness. The noise level of this device is quite low compared to its performance. If you're having trouble with noise, the problem is probably with the way it was installed. I have a lot of insulation on all sides between the block and the wall sleeve, which prevents metal from rattling. Professionals can spend hours researching which wall sleeve is best for this device. Also, you need to make sure that the sleeve and the device are inclined towards the outside of the building. At first I set the pod flush with the back-leaning device, but since the pod was level all the water was at the bottom of the pod and eventually ran out the front. I had to pull everything out and redo everything with the sleeve tilted back at an angle to allow it to drain. Once properly installed, my largest room became my comfiest room. It keeps the room around 70 degrees throughout the day in August without you having to work too hard. This is the main reason I bought it. Because it does its main job so well and the remote control is so good, I would give it five stars overall.
