Works like magic when battling a stubborn fin rot

Bettas and I struggle with fin rot from time to time. Recently figured out what is causing the gaps that allowed fin rot and removed them from the aquarium. I've tried many things from aquarium salts to antifungal and bacterial pills and they've all been mild on him. He was as happy and energetic as he could be, but it was sad to see how his fins were torn and short all the time. I did some research and decided to try Stressguard. My train of thought was to combine aquarium salt and stressguard. The salt helped disinfect open wounds and Stressguard stepped in, bound to the open proteins in the wounds, promoting regeneration and creating a strong layer of mucus to protect against any foreign objects. It worked great! This combination plus a 50% daily water change for a week has allowed my betta to consistently grow more fins than I have ever seen before. This product is amazing. You simply mix in the right dosage for your aquarium and you're done. You can safely double the dosage and add to the water each day until your fish shows signs of improvement, as directed on the packet. Not only does this help with healing and regrowth, but it also helps with the stress of having new water/water changes every day during treatment and he was just resting as usual and showing no signs of stress. The only downside to this product is that it makes the water look a little bluish and since it's dark blue it can discolour, but that's no reason why you can't use it. I highly recommend trying this for stubborn fin rot. Protecting your fish's mucosa is often neglected when treating fin rot, but I've found it to be extremely effective.
