I purchased the wire stripper primarily for speaker wires. I tested the product with 14 and 16 guage wire and was pleasantly surprised to strip those wires without cutting any of the strands. My previous stripper was the standard version with the various guages marked along the jaws. I've had a difficult time stripping wires without cutting into them.There are many similar wire strippers far more expensive than this one. However, this wire stripper felt sturdy and well-made and worked properly every time. What more could I ask for? Why pay more when this one works flawlessly? I'm happy with this purchase.
