I already have a Ninja Foodie so I was dying to try this new model. The first thing that caught my attention was the ability to remove the oven when not in use. My husband and I have shrunk in size so the counter space isn't what it used to be and I'm having a hard time adjusting. This model is perfect for us. I thought it would have to be attached to the wall to flip it, but it doesn't. I can place it anywhere on my counter or prep tables and just fold it out of the way when not in use. Just awesome! The first dinner I cooked was air fried chicken thighs. I could fit 10 large thighs in a fry basket. Much more than in my foodie. I chose air fried thighs because I often make them in my Ninja Foodie and want to compare them. Fry basket, place pan on bottom rack and air fry drumsticks for about 15 minutes, then turn and air fry for about 10 minutes or more until crisp and safe at internal temperature. Great! The air roasted drumsticks were just as delicious as the ones I cook in my Foodie, but I can cook LOTS more at once. For me that's a big plus. The next dinner I tried was frozen toasted ravioli (a St. Louis specialty, yummy) and frozen french fries. I put the fries in the fry basket on the top shelf and the ravioli in the pan on the middle shelf. Dinner was ready in less than 15 minutes. And lots of it. LOLD Did I mention this oven heats up in 1 minute? Yes, 400 degrees in 1 minute! I also made toast for breakfast, level 4 is perfect for us. I can fit 9 pieces of bread at once. Perfect when I have a crowd or I can make a few bites just for the two of us. And I made fries for Chili Cheese Fries again. I know, but it's canning season and I'm tired for dinner. LOLI photographed tonight's dinner, a stir-fry recipe. I tossed in some sausage, potatoes, onions, frozen green beans and peppers in olive oil and spices and pan fried. It caramelizes perfectly and is delicious! This is by far my favorite ninja gadget. It looks great, is super easy to clean, doesn't interfere with storage, cooks like a champ and has just the right amount of power I need when I have to cook a lot of food. Especially when you have to prepare a lot of food at once. You can prepare 3 different dishes at the same time on three trays. Perfect for busy evenings or when guests are over. To be honest I use this ninja more than a gas range and oven. I still love my Ninja Foodie model for rice, pasta, pressure cooking, etc., but this new model is a real workhorse in my kitchen. I would give much more than 5 stars if I could. We like this model very much. I hope she helps you.
