Review on AccuRemote Digital Electronic Magnetic Protractor by Brett Robinson

I bought this about four months ago and it has been very useful to me. The protractor is very accurate. With my trusty old goniometer I didn't even know what a quarter degree was, ha ha, anywhere between two lines and less than the thickness of the oscillating needle. Now I have to remind myself not to worry too much about these small amounts of information as they are not significant for most tube bending applications. If the numbers are in the range of 0.5° or less, your bend should look good. Another great feature is the hold button as you can measure the degree of an angle from something without seeing the protractor face. If you can reach it you can measure it, turn it on, place the tool at the measuring point and press the hold button, check your readings and now you can adjust the angle. This app has often come in handy when trying to match line offsets on the sides of tracks and hard to reach places where I couldn't see the instrument's face. Zeroing is also an invaluable feature that you can't do with an old protractor. You can compare two folds relative to each other regardless of the bender height. The digital display also flips when the instrument is rotated 180°, making it easier to read. This tool combined with the Anti Dog Tool is invaluable to the professional electrician. If anything happens to this tool (e.g. lost or stolen) I need to get another one ASAP! This is a great tool. I could go on but I think I've said enough.
