I have to wear a surgical mask all day at work and the acne and dryness of the mask was terrible. As the pandemic progresses, the quality of surgical masks is getting worse and worse, more and more annoying. These silk masks are life saving, I wear one under my surgical mask every day! Highly recommended. Hand washed once with dish soap and allowed to air dry. So far there are no problems. Good quality!
