ATTENTION! STRONG SMELL OF PLASTIC IN WATER (Most likely water REALLY comes into contact with plastic)

Remaining. The only one without any rubber seals, temperature sensors etc. just a basic kettle that had NO contact with plastic. BUT After washing it a little, then washed with reverse osmosis water, then by boiling with reverse osmosis water. There was a VERY STRONG PLASTIC ODOR coming from the water and what appeared to be metal or plastic were floating in the water. thoroughly rinsed and then boiled again with reverse osmosis water. After boiling the water about 10 times (each time with new reverse osmosis water) and half an hour later, the plastic smell is still there and I can still see little bits of something floating in the water. Does it look like a piece of plastic? (picture attached). However, without visible plastic. My guess is that where the body of the kettle meets the heating element there is some sort of plastic seal(?) or something that causes the plastic to wash into the water. The bottom of the kettle also smells like burning plastic. but you can clearly tell that the strong smell is coming from inside the kettle, not just from the outside. I don't smell much until I open the lid and then bam. strong steam with a plastic smell comes out. I'm starting to think there just isn't a kettle that can boil water without touching the plastic. I would go for a kettle but I bought this for a family member who doesn't want a kettle as it's not that convenient.
