Very impressed with this Surface Pens update. Gliding across the screen is a big improvement, the flat shape has changed a bit but I really like it and it's comfortable to hold and write on. I don't draw or make art, I use handwriting recognition instead of typing and this pen works great. The dock is very well made, the handle locks in place and doesn't move so when thrown into a bag the dock turns into a bag. Pros: The feel of a pen on the screen. Rechargeable, easy-to-find AAAA batteries. For charging, the dock keeps it safe in my pocket. About a week of battery life sounds small compared to 6 months for the previous pen, but you just toss it in the dock when you head out for lunch and it's ready for another week. a form on which it is very convenient to write during the working day. Some may not like it. Attaches magnetically to my Surface Go 2 from the front (not the side like the old pen). Doesn't roll on the table, stays where you put it. Handle. They can be any color you want as long as it's dark gray. No strap loop, I use a stylus all the time and my other pc uses Wacom EMF pens and I have 3 different manufacturers and they all have a thin strap hole. so I can wear it around my neck so it's always handy. Just click the delete tab and I'll get back to work. There is no such hole in this handle. The battery lasts normally, I would like more, but ok, not bad, not great. There are no tips. The older Surface Pen might change the nibs, allowing you to choose the nib you prefer for the screencover you're using. This one also has a style - it's better than any of the previous styles on the older Surface Pen, so that's great - for me. If that doesn't work well for you, no advice to tweak it to your liking. This is a great feature of the old Surface Pen. I think it is. In general I like it very much. Nice pen, great glide, nice soft surface, works well. If I only had one Surface Pen, an older Surface Pen, or this one, I would go with this one. Highly recommended.
