This cleared my bathtub drain with only hair hanging out of reach of my fingers. - no pressure or nothing - when I pulled it back out one of the little tabs came loose - that was enough for me to decide not to risk it. .Handled Snake: I had trouble getting down my bathtub drain, there is a crossbar at the top of my drain and I had to maneuver a bit to get through as the device was a bit larger in circumference. But when she fell, it was she who let her hair down. Brush: Others were right - the little brushes come off - let me explain how it works - the main body is made up of several pieces of metal twisted around each other - the brush fibers are only held together by being between pieces of metal, so when you use the brush bend (e.g. in the sewer), the metal separates just enough for the fibers to detach. I ended up using it to pull the lint deeper into the lint trap and that's when I started noticing this behavior. We'll see what they do, but honestly for $10 it should have saved me a $175 plumbing bill, which it did if it's a one-time use. I agree. I only gave it 3 stars because while it is affordable and does the job, only one of the 4 devices really worked and the others could have done more damage.
