I needed a set of digital calipers to measure the diameter of wood lathes that I need for laser engraving. Those tricks. Are they a bit thin? Yes. I wouldn't want to stress her out. good for measuring and that's it. As I said the jaws are metal but brittle so they can bend if not careful but they work for me. I have other mechanical ones just to transfer the diameter or check the diameter on my lathe, I wouldn't use them for that. I find them a bit clumsy, but they work for little money. Nothing more to say, not great but not bad either.
