As this is not an official Apple case, the fit is slightly different. Yes, it fits and protects your computer, but there is a downside. The way the top attaches to the screen creates a load. This means the screen is constantly sliding back and not staying in the position you placed it in due to the two latches on the back where the 'hinge' is (I don't get the computer version of the word, it is basically a black element that connects the screen to the computer keyboard). This will degrade the dexterity of your computer screen over time. The keyboard cover sits awkwardly on the keys and makes typing difficult. There is also excess material hanging down on either side. This is not the brand to buy for the MacBook Air.
