Had to prime and paint some shutters, figured I'd try to make the process as efficient as possible so I purchased this paint sprayer. The primer was extremely thick so I thinned it out with a little water just as the instructions suggest. Once I started using it, at first everything was going very well.Once dried, it was time for the Sherwin-Williams exterior paint. It too was very thick, diluted per instructions. After using it on the third shutter, it all went down hill. The nozzle started clogging every five minutes. I'd stop, wipe it off, try again. Then the inside of the nozzle started clogging. I'd stop, disassemble try again. Then by the fifth shutter - nothing but air, no paint. Disassembled completely, ran water through it, tried again. Nothing but air. What should have been a 1.5 hour process resulted 3 hours with me manually painting the shutters. For non-latex paints, this might be an acceptable solution. Outside of that, please don't waste your time with this unit.
