Bought for children. They are thick and sticky, like oil pastels but in lighter tones. No dust as advertised (because they don't even remotely look like chalk), but quite dirty because they're walking around everywhere. For my own purposes, I tried them out on our dry erase board. They are barely visible, but at least easy to remove. For my kids next time I'll just buy an oil pastel which is cheaper, has more (and brighter) colors and doesn't come in a plastic sleeve. discarded.
