I bought this drive as a replacement for TiVo Bolt. I also used msfr 1.0.0.4 to increase the size to 6TB (TiVo only uses 3TB by default). Since it doesn't physically fit in the TiVo Bolt, I installed the drive in a simple external eSATA enclosure for power/protection and then used a SATA to eSATA cable to connect it. Of course, you'll need to cut a small hole in the TiVo Bolt's plastic case for the wire to come out. Overall it worked well and I got 960 hours of HD. The only problem I had was the noise level. It's noisy. However, you cannot put it in a closet or box as it will overheat. If it's in the living room it's fine, but if it's in the bedroom I'd use a high TBW SSD instead (Samsung EVO has a 4TB 2400TBW for example) as it doesn't make any noise.
