A few things I don't like about this little waffle maker, the biggest being that the plates aren't removable. I got this for my parents and while it cleans up, making blueberry waffles was definitely a bit more of a hassle. I would suggest if you do this don't wait for it to cool and use a damp paper towel to wipe the fruit down before it hardens. The only other issue was that the lights are a bit difficult to interpret. I ended up waiting for the lights to come on, spooned the waffle mix, and set the kitchen timer for three and a half minutes. I prefer my waffles crispy and they didn't seem to get that nice golden color all over, but close enough. I just kept undoing the top to look at them and then took them off when I was satisfied. There's no arguing about the results, our blueberry waffles were amazing. Fast heating, light weight and easy storage for those with small kitchens.
