Cracks when washing. Not sure!

I rinsed it lightly with water to make sure it was clean before giving it to my baby. I let it dry overnight and woke up to the fact that the wooden part was cracked and had water in it. My kid hasn't even used it and obviously won't use it. Very cheap production if you can't even wash it off. Think again before you buy this product!
