This tape was perfect for its intended use. The adhesive is very strong. I applied it to the outside edge of each step on the stairs to my apartment. . The steps are actually a fire escape and are made of painted metal.Before applying the tape I washed the ladder to remove any loose residue that may have been preventing the tape from sticking properly.Length and taped to the outside edge of each step.They lasts a little over a year, all 4 seasons and standing rain, constant sun, ice, snow etc. and I walk up and down this ladder several times a day. This is a great product! It's enough in this role that I can completely replace all 12 rungs on my ladder if needed, great value!
