I like to keep a daily journal, sometimes with small drawings or full page sketches. I've been using a fountain pen since school, so high-quality paper is important to me, it doesn't leak and is opaque. After trying different types of blank books with plain paper, I settled on a Canson 7 on a 10 inch sketchbook. The size is perfect - big enough for sketching and just right for my medium to large handwriting. I love the spiral binding which allows the book to open fully making it easier to write or sketch on the left side. The downside of the binding, of course, is that it's not possible to add a label to display on a bookshelf, but given the book's other qualities, I can live with that compromise.
